BATMAN –The Telltale Series Premieres this August Digitally

Written by

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Telltale Games announced the worldwide distribution of the highly anticipated game BATMAN –The Telltale Series. The game will be making its debut as a digital download on consoles, PC/Mac, and IOS or Android devices. The series can be purchased at stores staring Sept. 13th for North America. The retail disc is sold as a special “Season Pass Disc” which includes the first five episodes in the first season and access to the next four episodes that will be made available later.  The European store version will be released Sept. 16th.

The graphic adventure game stars DC iconic hero of the night, Batman. Surprise! Bet you didn’t expect that.

What makes this rendition of the Dark Knight so unique is the living, breathing comic book style graphics Telltale Game uses for this series. Playing through the game will be as if you are turning the pages of a comic book. However, unlike a comic book, the decisions you make greatly affect the later events, and with Telltale Games creating their own spin on the Batman franchise, each episode will be a new experience.

BATMAN also features a star studded cast for iconic characters like Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, and Troy Baker as Bruce Wayne/ Batman (spoilers). Additional cast and characters are to be announced as the series progresses.

Telltale Games has always been known for making fictional worlds come to life. Walking Dead and the Game of Thrones series are no exception. The development team has won numerous awards for their work on these series, and promises to keep that high standard moving forward. In talking about moving forward with publisher Warner Bros., Steve Allison, Senior Vice President at Telltale Games said, “Warner Bros. has been an incredible partner to work with, and we look forward to working with them to help ensure players can discover out unique, story driven experiences in stores everywhere for years to come.”

The exact date for the digital release of BATMAN –The Telltale Series will be announced later on, but players can expect an August release.
