Though the graphics are smooth and and the unique combat style makes for a fun, fast-paced heist title, the lack of variety dulls this otherwise vibrant game. Mr. Shifty exhibits plenty of potential, and those who enjoyed Devolver’s Hotline Miami and have a soft spot for comic books will love this half-combat, half-stealth based mission. But, there isn’t much beyond what’s on the tin, however, and Mr. Shifty risks monotony to many players.
After tinyBuild’s CEO, Alex Nichiborchik, emailed OpNoobs a second round of controversial announcements to further defame G2A, I closed his email with a sour taste in my mouth. “Cheap,” I thought. Whatever that was felt like High School drama, in this case with Mr. Mario Mirek, a Senior Account Manager at G2A who, Alex states, at the GDC “came over to the Q&A line, and started shouting that he was the guy dealing with me calling them out last year - embarrassing himself in front of a room filled with industry professionals.”
A stealth-based experience that is as humorous as it anchors itself on a critical observation of America's suburban life. It's a satirical commentary of daily living, exaggerated to highlight our oddity as average human beings, on top of creating, of course, playable mechanics. In short, an experience for people like you and me, one we can all relate to, whether we might be the shady type, the law-abiding citizen, or the simply nosy.
