Your Daily Updates. Straight from the Devs.

We just wanted to give you a quick heads-up that we just released Update #23 for our open-world survival Early Access game Conan Exiles. This update introduces the Trebuchet siege weapon, opening for a whole new way to approach player vs. player warfare in the game.

Players need to craft the Trebuchet, place it, and then aim it by pushing it around. In-game physics come into play when figuring out how far you want to shoot: by adding and removing rocks as ballast you determine how far your projectile will go. You can arm your Trebuchet with huge boulders and even explosive Demon-fire jars that will create a fiery havoc wherever it comes crushing down.

Thanks to Conan Exiles real-time destruction physics, buildings will crumble and city walls will break as the barrage of rocks and explosives come raining down on your enemies.

Last week Funcom released Update #22 which introduced the dye system, new weapons, new armor, animated thralls, and more. The next update out, Update #24, will introduce a brand-new dungeon for adventurers to explore. The update will be arriving soon.

Conan Exiles was released into Early Access on January 31st 2017 and Funcom reported that the game sold half a million units in about a month. The developers continue to update the game constantly with both fixes, improvements, new content, and new features.

  • Medieval Kingdom Wars Early Access

Medieval Kingdom Wars is a live action RTS with a heavy emphasis on siege battles. Despite added features it feels like a reskinned Medieval Total War 2, although the developers promise a new look at the RTS genre. In their defense, they have been great at updating Medieval Kingdom Wars and incorporating player suggestions, so it’s worth keeping an eye on as it continues through early access before its full release in mid 2018.

  • ARENA GODS Early Access Review

Welcome to the ARENA.... GODS, a title where you use anything and everything at your disposal to beat, slice, smash, stab, and pummel your way to victory. There are no fancy controls or tech skills you need to learn to be proficient at this game: you run, you attack, you roll. Sometimes you win; more often than not, you die. There is nothing keeping you playing in terms of story — because it does not have one — and while the gameplay is simple and fun, it is still simple, meaning that once you have played a few matches, you have experienced all that the Early Access title has to offer.

  • Guns'n'Stories: Bulletproof VR Early Access Review

If there’s one takeaway from Guns’n’Stories: Bulletproof VR, it’s that you don’t need to be a AAA studio to develop an entertaining wave-shooter with solid production values. Guns’n’Stories doesn’t have the largest amount of content, and its two-handed weapons could use some fine-tuning, but the quality and experience, especially for the price, makes this title easy to recommend.

  • Fantasy Strike Early Access Interview with David Sirlin

Fighting games are hard to access. The moves, the combos, reading (guessing the opponent's next move) all raise somewhat of a barrier for newcomers. How many times was I pinned down in the corner by Dhalsim, at a loss for how to break out of the combos the other player was laying on me?

  • Party Hard Tycoon Early Access Review

Isn't it great? Party Hard Tycoon, developed by Pinokle Games, allows you to create, decorate, plan, run, over-hype, and manage your own themed parties. The themes range across the board — really — from a Vodka party to a Zoo Party. They even have themes for gamers, too, complete with arcade cabinets to fill your venue.

  • Franchise Hockey Manager 4 Review

There's something just so fun and satisfying about being able to take the reins and make a team in your own image, getting realistic answers to those “what if” questions that you have sitting around the TV with your friends watching the real-world counterparts of these games. In that, FHM 4 definitely succeeds, and is better than its predecessors, and I feel confident in saying that OOTPD is creating the best, deepest and most responsive sports sims that have yet been created. That said, these games still have a lot of progress to make, particularly in presenting the actual matches and, a less-solvable but still-real issue, in being approachable and not exhausting.

  • Bomber Crew Review

Bomber Crew is a rich strategy sim that gets you into the action quickly. The low poly art style will make more bearable the tremendous death of your crew’s airmen, as your plane falls to pieces around them. As for the repetitive nature of missions, it will either become old hat, or, a necessary grind to get the most out of your plane and deal head on with the game's growing difficulty.

  • ELEX Review

ELEX is an ode to fans of Gothic and Risen, and fans will most likely be satisfied. How detailed the title is makes it clear: Piranha Bytes isn’t trying to cash in on an aging franchise.  That being said, the issues cannot be brushed aside. It’s been nearly two decades since the studio published its first game, Gothic I, and what plagued the earlier titles plagues ELEX as well. And that, is a problem.
