Jade Swann

Jade Swann is an avid video game player and fiction writer. She loves getting lost in open-world RPG’s, making tough choices in story-driven games, and is a big fan of the horror genre. Some of her favorite games include Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Skyrim, Planet Coaster, and The Sims 4. When not immersed in the world of video games, she can be found reading, writing, or spending time with her very lazy Boston Terrier.

Of Evil and Darkness Review

Though this visual novel has an interesting narrative, it is hindered by a lack of impactful choices, a lack of options, and branching errors that take you out of the story.

Hidden Through Time Review

While this title is a fun and relaxing way to pass the time and the map editor is a nice addition, it isn’t anything you haven’t seen before.

Giraffe and Annika Review

Despite the control issues and short playthrough length, the relaxing ambience, charming story, and beautiful artwork make this an adventure title well worth playing.

LUNA The Shadow Dust Review

Though a little on the short side, this beautifully drawn puzzler is full of variety and well worth checking out.

A short but morbidly fun point-and-click adventure.

TOKYO GHOUL:re [CALL to EXIST] Review

Fun to play, but a little lacklustre overall.

I Will Eat You Early Access Review

I will eat you is an entertaining multiplayer title with well-designed maps that help add some variety to the gameplay. Though the overall content is a bit limited and the long wait times can hinder the experience, the price is surprisingly fair for what is being offered. If GSE can keep adding more content, then the full release is definitely something fans of the survival multiplayer genre should keep an eye out for.

Angelo and Deemon: One Hell of a Quest Review

A humorous and beautifully drawn point-and-click adventure, Angelo and Deemon: One Hell of a Quest is fun to play, but unfortunately falls flat story-wise.

Re:Legend Early Access Review

If Magnus Games Studio can iron out all of the current issues, then the full release definitely has the potential to be an impressive RPG and is worth keeping an eye out for.

Quench Review

Use your resources to help guide herds across perilous lands. If you enjoy puzzle games that will challenge you with unique and visually appealing levels, you might want to consider getting this story-driven puzzle game when it goes on sale.

The first installment of what looks to be an interesting series, Misadventures of Laura Silver: Chapter 1 brings polish and interactivity to the visual novel genre.

Tech Corp. Early Access Review

Despite being grindy at times, Tech Corp. manages to be an addictive experience if you can ignore all the bugs.

Cooking Simulator Review

An entertaining simulator that allows you to cook to your heart’s content without the real-life mess.

Charming and humorous, albeit brief.

Pathologic 2 Review

An interesting narrative and eerie ambience are present, but frustratingly tedious survival features, poor combat, and performance issues plague the title.

Though Pandemic Express is slightly barebones at this point in Early Access, it definitely has the potential to be a unique and impressive addition to the world of multiplayer zombie games.

Weedcraft Inc Review

An impressive amount of mechanics and a nice variety of play styles available, yet lacks depth in social interactions and suffers from a few tedious features.

Outward Review

A difficult survival game with some interesting elements that is significantly hindered by tedious mechanics and a superficial world.

A darkly humorous and entertaining addition to the series, Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko’s Hysteric Birthday Bash has a charming assortment of unique characters and a host of interesting choices, but doesn’t always translate well into the visual novel format. Fans of the series will enjoy seeing their favorite characters in outlandish scenarios, but the lack of any lasting consequences ultimately detracts from the title’s overall impact.

Willowbrooke Post Early Access Review

Despite its wonderful premise and future potential to match the loveable charm of similar titles, Willowbrooke Post is hindered by game-breaking bugs and missing content to the point where it is almost unplayable. Though it does show some promise and you should definitely keep an eye out for the full release if you’re a fan of management-based games, it can’t be recommended at this point in Early Access.

7'scarlet Review

A beautiful and well-crafted visual novel, 7'scarletexcels at storytelling and manages to create a compelling mystery full of shocking twists and turns.

Outlaws of the Old West is a promising survival MMO in Early Access, developed by Virtual Basement and published by Wandering Wizard. You wake up in a wooden coffin in the middle of nowhere, left with only the minimal clothes on your back and your will to live. With nothing but nature around you, it’s up to you to survive the harsh world and build a new life in the Wild West.

A relaxing and beautiful experience, marred only by the occasional technical issue.

Project Winter Early Access Review

Project Winter provides a refreshing take on the multiplayer survival genre and offers up some substantial promise, but is hindered by a variety of technical problems. With eight players per round, you and your fellow survivors must work together to survive the frigid landscape around you and combine your resources to call for help, all while avoiding the traitors among you and the vicious wildlife searching for their next meal. It’s a brutal world out there, and you can’t survive it alone.

My Time At Portia is a fantastic life simulation RPG that allows you to build a life in the post-apocalyptic town of Portia. Similar to beloved games like Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley, My Time At Portia brings a charming 3D experience to the life simulation genre and is a must-have for both old and new fans alike.

Beholder 2’s strengths include great storytelling, impactful choices, and high replayability, while its weaknesses are unavoidable, repetitive mini-games and lack of fast travel.

Rapture Rejects Early Access Review

This battle royale title has dark humor and a ton of character customization, yet it could use more weapons and maps.
