Conglomerate 451 Early Access Review

Conglomerate 451 is an Early Access title, and it shows. While I didn't encounter anything horribly game-breaking in the current build, many systems are not yet implemented and some balance issues should be addressed before the final release.

Pixel Noir Early Access Review

Pixel Noir attempts to bring the best mechanics from the golden age of JRPGs and combine them with a gritty, noir atmosphere. It achieves uneven success with its mashup of interesting ideas, making it rough around the edges, but indie to its core

Esports Life Tycoon Early Access Review

In its current state, nobody could really enjoy Esports Life Tycoon. Here’s to hoping that, as it moves through Early Access, things change.

The Sinking City Early Access Review

A challenging detective experience with interesting gameplay mechanics that will appeal to horror fans, but is hindered by wonky controls, loading screens, and an empty world.

Risk of Rain 2 Early Access Review

If you’re into roguelikes, bullet-hell, or third-person shooter games, this is a can’t-miss title. Risk of Rain 2 has just as much style as it does mechanical polish.

Abrakadaboom Early Access Review

Abrakadaboom is a good game if you enjoy the genre, but there is some work to be smoothed out during the Early Access phase.

Pandemic Express – Zombie Escape Early Access Review

Though Pandemic Express is slightly barebones at this point in Early Access, it definitely has the potential to be a unique and impressive addition to the world of multiplayer zombie games.

Infected Shelter Early Access Review

Newcomers to the roguelite genre will certainly find some fun in Infected Shelter but I am not confident that experienced roguelite players will find much new or exciting with this title.

Volcanoids Early Access Review

With more things to do around the map, clear guidance through the storyline and quests, and perhaps a more comprehensive tutorial, Volcanoids could turn out to be a star on the stage of survival titles.

UBOAT Early Access Review

This unique simulation still suffers from certain aches and pains that we have all come to know and loathe from Early Access titles, but it’s a solid concept paired with great attention to detail and a surprisingly in-depth simulation make for a stunning (if currently unpolished) submarine simulator.

Willowbrooke Post Early Access Review

Despite its wonderful premise and future potential to match the loveable charm of similar titles, Willowbrooke Post is hindered by game-breaking bugs and missing content to the point where it is almost unplayable. Though it does show some promise and you should definitely keep an eye out for the full release if you’re a fan of management-based games, it can’t be recommended at this point in Early Access.

Outlaws of the Old West Early Access Review

Outlaws of the Old West is a promising survival MMO in Early Access, developed by Virtual Basement and published by Wandering Wizard. You wake up in a wooden coffin in the middle of nowhere, left with only the minimal clothes on your back and your will to live. With nothing but nature around you, it’s up to you to survive the harsh world and build a new life in the Wild West.

Project Winter Early Access Review

Project Winter provides a refreshing take on the multiplayer survival genre and offers up some substantial promise, but is hindered by a variety of technical problems. With eight players per round, you and your fellow survivors must work together to survive the frigid landscape around you and combine your resources to call for help, all while avoiding the traitors among you and the vicious wildlife searching for their next meal. It’s a brutal world out there, and you can’t survive it alone.

Element: Space Early Access Review

Element: Space, developed by Sixth Vowel and published by Inca Games, is a turn-based strategy RPG that sees you fill the shoes of Captain Christopher Pietham, tactician and leader. You will guide Captain Chris through the galaxy on a mission to stop the evil organization Tempest who are bent on inciting war between the many factions in the galaxy despite it being on the verge of peace. Many challenges await on your path to peace, and only Captain Pietham and his crew will be able to walk it.

2084 Early Access Review

2084, developed by Feardemic (a subsidiary of Bloober Team, which is known for Layers of Fear and Observer), is a heavily-stylized FPS with some strategy elements that is still in Early Access. While the cyberpunk-horror atmosphere manages to set a fantastic stage for the hacker protagonist, it's difficult to shake the feeling that most of the assets, at least in terms of the environment and enemy models, have been ripped directly from Observer and Layers of Fear.

Rapture Rejects Early Access Review

This battle royale title has dark humor and a ton of character customization, yet it could use more weapons and maps.

STARDROP Early Access Review

STARDROP is a lovingly crafted, first-person exploration title. If you enjoy a bit of mystery and like the idea of discovering the unknown in the depths of space then this is definitely the title for you.

The Light Keeps Us Safe Early Access Review

There are needed tweaks to make, but setting those aside, The Light Keeps Us Safe is an enjoyable, suspenseful experience just short of being a horror game. Though, eeriness is pervasive due to the dark atmosphere and audio. If you enjoy atmospheric titles that are suspenseful, you should check this out; I look forward to seeing how this game’s development goes.

World War 3 Early Access Review

World War 3 had a rocky launch and will hopefully be fully redeemed by the development staff. The gameplay combined with the deep customization really does complete a modern military shooter dream. This title offers players the ability to be in full control of their gear and character, all while being fun. While this title is in the infant stages of Early Access, it shows great promise to be a fantastic experience in the long run. While map variation and different weapon choices and game modes seem to be limited as of now, I am sure we will see more and more content added in the future. Godspeed, The Farm 51.
