Conarium: Testing the Limits of Nature

Conarium, a game set after the events of the novella “At the Mountains of Madness,” is slated for release in 2017 on Steam and consoles. Information is still limited, but the visuals created in the Unreal 4 engine seem to be well put together and very atmospheric.

Warcraft is a venerable IP, and given the lack of competition, this is the best video game movie I've seen since Wreck it Ralph. Outside of the fantastically well used CGI, this is not a bit of cinema that will be winning any awards. It is the beginning of a franchise, and my determined optimism says that Blizzard and Legendary Pictures could get better at making cinema together. If not, they managed to pen a love letter to their fans that anyone with even an ounce of Warcraft nostalgia should examine – and it was very much appreciated.

Skyrim Remaster Free for PC Owners?

If the intent of this release is to bring attention back to a game that has been out for years, it worked for me. I haven’t thought about Skyrim in a while and now I’m really looking forward to October. Maybe someday I’ll even go talk to the Greybeards and find out what is up with this dragonborn condition I have. I should probably get that looked at.

Galaxy Combat Wargames is a fun head-to-head space-based shooter. In my brief experience, it is a tightly built game that has a lot of potential. Its intuitive controls were easy to pick up, and the bots I was able to fight in the demo had the same abilities I had. The symmetry definitely means that skill will be the primary thing determining the winner in a match, assuming equivalent equipment levels. A nice touch, all things considered.

Battlestation: Harbinger Review

Battlestation Harbinger is an enjoyable experience, and became more fun as I kept going and experimented more. I can’t call it my favorite game, but I am glad to have bought it and happily gave it to a friend of mine as a birthday gift. It’s a solid 70: worth the money as a quality time waster but not an engrossing experience.
