James McKeever
When not playing video games, James is usually found playing video games. When he simply does not have time for video games, he goes to a thing called "Job" where he makes money to feed himself and his wife and to buy more video games. Since he was too scared to use the controller himself at the young age of 3, James started his gaming career as a "navigator" of sorts instructing his father when to jump in Super Mario Brothers. Since then, the fear of controllers has subsided and James can now jump freely, circumventing the middleman.
The Jackbox Party Pack 3 Review
A solid collection of virtual board/card games with Trivia Murder Party being the leader of the pack. Jackbox Games is doing a great job creating unique card games that have massive streaming potential, but they must make fundamental changes to the way the streaming works. Until then stick with playing locally - if YOU can!
Frog Climbers Review
Frog Climbers is a very simple game, but it's all you need for a social night of fun with friends. Its simplistic design and intuitive controls make for a solid Couch Co-Op experience and one that is tailor-made to frustrate and beat the living poop out of the fine folks you, all so kindly, invited over.
The Final Station Review
The Final Station is short and sweet with some very interesting concepts in storytelling with an eerie atmosphere. Its ending will have some furious but some appreciative - it’s just a matter of how long you allow yourself to contemplate it.
The No "No Man's Sky" Guy - A Journey to Getting a Game to Work
My personal experiences aside, everyone else will have that same reaction, getting into space that fateful first time.
No Man's Sky Review
When you take a step back and look at how massive this game is, you start to A) question your sanity and B) understand that pretty much everything they’ve promised is here and ready for our consumption..
Voodoo Garden Review
I feel a little let down by the game’s attempt to make a clicker, as awful as that sounds. It's certainly something I shouldn't be let down about, but it is. Some people have a bigger love for these types of games than I do, but the fact is, the game is still very shallow and nowhere near as deep or rewarding as some of the other clickers out there today and for free, too.
Humans on Public Transit and The Hope For Adaptive AI
Going to work is essential for collecting a paycheck (believe me, I checked). Through the extended use of the public transit system, I find myself people watching.
The Temporal Invasion Review
It's simplistic design lends to a thoughtful experience with some rough edges and fun Escape Room qualities. At its modestly low price point of only $3.99, you honestly have very little to lose. Grab it and have some fun. Dr. Quantum needs your help!
Zombie Night Terror Review
Zombie Night Terror isn’t anything new, but it is a lot of fun; especially if you’re craving some classic Lemmings gameplay with an added extra layer of gore, horror, and fun. If you’re up for a challenge and some overall good fun, do yourself a favor and check this one out!
Rising Islands Early Access Review
With some adjustments to the controls and camera, Rising Island can be a fun little platformer designed with Speedrunning in mind. While it might seem simple now, the future of this game will hopefully be a good one.
Excubitor Review
There are plenty of genres out there that allow for developers to flourish in creativity and give them plenty of room to reinvent what we come to expect. Platformers are a good example of this: take the first Super Mario Bros. game and compare it to something like Braid - two games that feel the same but are vastly different in their respective designs.
The Way Review
The Way handles sci-fi much more elegantly than a majority of games before it. With engaging puzzles and an impressive art style this wonderful and detailed, you’d be doing yourself a great disservice by not playing it.
Trawl Review
Trawl is less of a “Boat Simulator” and more of a “Typewriting During A Rainstorm Simulator”. It has a ton of atmosphere but not much else. If you like finding three random items at a time, then this is the game for you! If not, then you might wanna try something else.
Désiré Review
At the end of the day, bugs aside, the game is very competent. Désiré looks beautiful and sounds spectacular. The story, however stilted and outright bizarre as it may seem, is something that’ll stick out years down the road when I think of it. Just remember to save your progress often to avoid any retracing.
Seraph Early Access Review
UI and redundancy aside, Seraph still gives you a great sense of power when it comes to its gunplay. The term badass is only used for things that actually require it and Seraph is nearly on its way to badassdom. I recommend giving it a shot if you’re like me and want to feel slightly more badass than you already are.
Crown and Council Review
Crown and Council doesn’t pretend to be anything more than it is and it does it well enough. If you’re into board games, The Civ Series or just want to take over the world one colored tile at a time, give this a go. You have nothing to lose at a $0.00 price point.
