Legends of Callasia Dwarf Faction DLC Kickstarter Reaches for Stretch Goals

Written by

Boomzap Entertainment, developers of the recent hit strategy game Legends of Callasia, are working on a Dwarf expansion titled The Stoneborne.

The expansion is completely crowd funded via Kickstarter, reaching its target goal in less than 24 hours. Now, Boomzap is encouraging fans to reach the extra content by making the stretch goals.

In Legends of Callasia: The Stoneborne, play as hero Dwarves from the original game plus new unique Dwarven heroes, and traverse underground maps fighting against a new enemy: The Cavespawn. Command a powerful dwarf army in over a dozen new maps, as you complete the new Dwarven story campaigns. The expansion also includes new cards for all factions of the world, providing extra incentive for fans of the original game.

In case you have been trapped in the Dwarven mines and unable to play the original game, Legends of Callasia is a multiplayer strategy game with a fantasy-theme, taking inspiration from other strategy games like Risk and Civilization. In multiplayer mode, players move in a turn based system all at the same time. This offers faster gameplay and quicker decision making.

Some of the stretch goals for The Stoneborne include 12-player maps, better balanced multiplayer maps, and five tournament maps

The most intriguing goal is the chance to play as new Cavespawn heroes in skirmish and multiplayer modes. If the goal is met, the main game will get four Cavespawn heroes, but the other four can only be obtained by buying the Stoneborne DLC.

Updates for the main game are still being made and iPad and Android versions of Legend of Callasia are releasing soon. The main game is available on Steam for PC now for $24.99, but a free demo is also available.

Legends of Callasia: The Stoneborne Kickstarter officially ends August 19th.
