New Warhammer 40,000 3D Turn Based Strategy Game Coming To PC

Written by

Enter a dark era of carnage and endless fighting. Billions of Orks dominate the system, invading planet after planet. Mankind, already pushed to its last settlements, puts its fate in the hands of a brave company of Space Wolves. The hour of the wolf is nearing.

After working together on Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon, Slitherine and Games Workshop once again join forces to bring the universe of Warhammer 4K to PC in a new 3D turn-based Strategy game called Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach. Based off of the popular arc of the same name, Sanctus Reach promises to take that story and build upon it for a real Warhammer 4K experience. The gameplay also offers variety and deep tactical warfare, along with two story driven campaigns.

Development Director at Slitherine Iain McNeil talked about working with Games Workshop and the developers of Sanctus Reach, Straylight Entertainment. “Teaming up with Games Workshop for this thrilling project is testament of how well the partnership has worked out on Armageddon. Straylight are a very promising new development team that we are proud to work with. They bring not only passion and dedication, but a great deal of knowledge of the Warhammer 40,000 universe and that is an invaluable asset.”

Powered by Slitherine’s brand new Archon engine, Warhammer 40,000 is expected to release on Steam before the end of 2016.
