Thick Air Brings Back Sci-fi Style Racing on PC

Written by

Publisher PeopleGottaPlay are getting ready to release their Sci-fi racer, Thick Air, to Early Access on Steam.

In a world devoid of human life, machines are left to simulate life lived by the humans. So they decided to pay tribute to street racing cars. Swarms of flying drones built for racing come together so see who the strongest racer is. Thick Air will feature competitive AI, local and online multiplayer, and VR support, all combining to create a new racing experience.

Kyr Dunenkoff, Thick Air Project Lead, spoke about the vision behind Thick Air. “Racing games are not what they used to be. The grass was greener, we had street racing games filled with vintage cars, the competition was fun. That design and that kind of fun is what we're trying to recreate - there's real nostalgic void to be filled - while still keeping it original."

Thick Air is set to enter Early Access in September of this year on Steam.
