Subdivision Infinity DX provides the feeling of truly being a pilot in the vast, breathtaking scope of outer space and offers a fun, albeit short and simple experience.

Building, creating, destroying, self-detonating, designing, and restarting. Nimbatus is an Early Access space-drone design simulator that’s fulfilling to anyone who has a brain for engineering or adventurous curiosity. To put it lightly, my experience with Nimbatus has been one for the books of failure, and has required me to watch countless tutorial videos on how to make a drone that can even be stable enough to maneuver a planet surface. Having said that, my enjoyment in watching my failed little creations of destruction is great enough that I won’t be stopping anytime soon.

Publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer Coronado Games announced that their spaceship-building game Starship Corporation is releasing out of Steam’s Early Access Program on May 3, 2018.

StarGem Inc. and Gaijin Entertainment today announced the release of the “Journey” update for the space action MMO Star Conflict. In a redesign of the game’s progression system, players can now earn experience points and unlock new content by taking part in a story-driven campaign. The update offers beginners a gradual introduction to the game’s warring factions, different ship types, and incrementally increasing complex combat scenarios, while experienced pilots can head directly to more challenging adventures in outer space on new ships.

Boxelware is ambitiously throwing together many aspects of the open-world space sims and combining the result with the ‘building’ genre that is all the rage these days. The challenge moving forward will be to balance the game so that players enjoy a consistently good experience across the different styles of play that Avorion allows.

While I’m hard pressed to say the $25.00 price tag is something it lives up to at the current level of graphical and audio polish, I can see the mechanical strength of the title making it worth the investment for a particular sort. At the very least, I would certainly count myself among them.

A well polished, strategy/tower defense geared towards player-created content. With its huge array of tools available, and a robust player base, Particle Fleet: Emergence is a great pick up for anyone looking for a game to sink multiple hours into.

Those familiar with Paradox or grand strategy may find that Stellaris isn't quite as deep as HOI, CK2 or even EU4, but it has more than enough to keep space fans consumed for hours, and enough variety to keep each playthrough unique. The lore is awesome. The custom ship designs are awesome. The map and visuals are awesome. If you're a Star Trek fan, a BattleStar Galactica fan, a Star Wars fan, a Dune fan, or even if you just looked up at the stars one day and thought “woah...” then Stellaris is for you!
