Good day, warriors!
STRAIGHT FROM THE DEVS: MARCH 9 2018 - Creating a custom engine has been one of the most important challenges that TaleWorlds has faced during the development of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. As it happens with other parts of games development, it is not a straightforward task that you finish and put on a shelf, but an iterative process. In this week's dev blog, we explain to you some new features implemented in the newly introduced engine version 1.4.
ABOUT MOUNT & BLADE
When the world falls into chaos, anyone can rise to glory if they are brave and skilled enough. You can be a fierce mercenary, selling your sword to anyone with gold in his purse. You can command your own army and drive them to the final victory. You can even rise to become a liege lord, sworn to protect your subjects and lands. Your destiny awaits, and you are free to choose it with your blade! Mount & Blade combines the genres of Strategy and Action RPG. Set in the fictional continent of Calradia, the games feature a singleplayer experience which allows players to develop their own character and story in a sandbox campaign. There is also a multiplayer element which lets players test their combat skills and tactical abilities against opponents from all around the world in massive, epic battles. The gameplay focuses on different aspects of medieval combat and warfare, and features a deep and intuitive directional combat system which is easy to learn, but difficult to master.
