While it doesn’t break the mold, Half-Life: Alyx provides a polished, AAA VR experience.

DOOM Eternal is a title that needs little introduction but deserves a lot of praise. Here, Slayers will feel right at home jumping, dashing, smashing, blasting, and of course exploding through the legions of Hell. While DOOM Eternal does focus more on story than the previous 2016 installment, it feels and operates on a much higher frequency of fun.

Though you might miss some of the newer mechanics of the series in this PC port, the polish, intriguing cast of characters, and milestones to look forward to make this title worth picking up.

A well-made, engaging, open-world Spaghetti Western experience with minor flaws.

Need For Speed Heat tries hard to be a game for car people with over one hundred vehicles and deep customization features. However, it alienates the genre's biggest fans with an overused storyline, over-the-top arcade physics, and a lack of wheel support.

Despite the occasionally lonely world and lacking interactivity at times, the rewarding and creative ways to complete missions make this FPS title a blast to play.

With dozens of hours of enjoyable gameplay, this polished title will appeal to JRPG enthusiasts and Atelier fans alike. 

A superbly polished visual feast as well as a jumpscare-laden walking simulator that takes a few steps back as a sequel, rather than forward.

An interesting narrative and eerie ambience are present, but frustratingly tedious survival features, poor combat, and performance issues plague the title.

Tropico 6 involves a huge time investment and a steep learning curve, but it is a solid entry in the management/sim genre.

Metro Exodus is a mishmash of borrowed ideas that falls short of creating a worthy sequel, while holding tight to the previous mistakes of the series.

An improvement over its predecessor, with visuals that wow. Occasionally repetitive combat and an unengaging story are the main flaws that might deter budget-conscious gamers from buying at full price.

It looks better than its predecessor, but content-wise its rather stingy and the story needs work, dampening excitement for this title.

A true remake in every sense of the word, Capcom’s 2019 Resident Evil 2 captures the heart of the original in a wonderful recreation.

Beholder 2’s strengths include great storytelling, impactful choices, and high replayability, while its weaknesses are unavoidable, repetitive mini-games and lack of fast travel.

SoulCalibur VI is the latest release in the series that offers plenty of characters to accommodate any playstyle as well as options to create your own fighter. There are two rich story modes along with your typical, more quick-play modes, including Arcade and Versus. In case you’re into RPG aspects, there’s even a mode that somewhat accommodates this.

Space Hulk: Tactics will force you to be technically and tactically proficient in every match.  An economy of motion and combat will prove to be the utmost challenge for new and seasoned players alike. Thought this title contains a few bugs, by no means is it a deal breaker. Fans of Space Hulk and Warhammer 40k alike should find themselves fully at home in the fresh take on the series. Be warned that you will need to invest a lot of time into each match, as the gameplay loop itself is fairly slow. LEGO DC Super-Villains offers a gigantic array of villains and heroes that all have their own unique abilities and quirks on top of a deep character creation tool that allows players to fill any of the gaps that the developers didn’t.

With new content, sounds, and Steam Workshop support, fans of Pillars of Eternity II will no doubt enjoy the new layers of challenge this DLC provides.

Strong mechanics, fun combat, and a lot of replay value are brought down by so-so graphics and a story that’s impossible to follow, yet you’ll still have fun mowing down scores of enemies.
