La Résistance is an overpriced package of underwhelming mechanics and bloated focus trees. You’d do best to avoid this expansion until it goes on sale.

Moons of Madness incorporates Lovecraftian-style themes and a desolate planet setting of Mars to offer a creepy experience that, while interesting, falters when gameplay is involved.

Steampunk Tower 2 feels repetitive at times, but it holds interest through intriguing dialogue, a rewarding progression system, and a consistent steampunk theme.

 What I played, I enjoyed. However, Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates feels like it could use something more, as parts of the dialogue felt clunky; the musical and ambient sound overtly monotonous; the story intriguing, but not fully fleshed out. But, these are all minor musings. Ultimately, Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates completes exactly what it set out to: create an entertaining addition to the top-down RPG genre.

Coin Operated Games released a new story trailer for its upcoming Neo-Victorian RPG Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates. The game will be coming to PC via Steam on October 4 and is developed by a team of industry veterans from such influential companies as Crytek, Creative Assembly, Codemasters and Digital Reality. 

Imagine the year is 2089 and the Cold War never ended. You would, of course, be a burly, time-traveling cyborg-agent who goes to dance clubs to flirt with and/or kill other burly men, right? Of course you would; the self-described tech-noir All Walls Must Fall is so chillingly accurate that an alternate history textbook could be written based off of it.

Strategy and Tactics: Dark Ages by Herosoft is the latest iteration of a risk-style board game that is enhanced by persistent upgrades to generals and leaders and a large variety of different troop types and formation options. In the end however, the bigger army wins, and getting the bigger army in this turn based game is disappointingly trivial.

Set in an alternative 19th century, Herald follows the journey of Devan Rensburg, a young man who boards a merchant ship in an attempt to return to his place of birth. While onboard the ship, the HLV Herald, you must interact with fellow crew members and passengers – how you treat them is entirely up to you.
