DYNASTY WARRIORS 9's gameplay has a relaxed feel that allows you to choose what to spend time on. There’s plenty to explore, missions to complete, and tons of options to customize your character. The only real problem is occasional laggy graphics. If you enjoy the JRPG genre, I certainly recommend getting it.

The post-apocalyptic Action MMO Crossout is preparing to unleash its seventh faction - the Firestarters. During a live stream in Japan, Capcom announced new details and a trailer for the upcoming Monster Hunter: World. This new trailer introduces several new and returning favorite Elder Dragons.

Welcome to the ARENA.... GODS, a title where you use anything and everything at your disposal to beat, slice, smash, stab, and pummel your way to victory. There are no fancy controls or tech skills you need to learn to be proficient at this game: you run, you attack, you roll. Sometimes you win; more often than not, you die. There is nothing keeping you playing in terms of story — because it does not have one — and while the gameplay is simple and fun, it is still simple, meaning that once you have played a few matches, you have experienced all that the Early Access title has to offer.

Fighting games are hard to access. The moves, the combos, reading (guessing the opponent's next move) all raise somewhat of a barrier for newcomers. How many times was I pinned down in the corner by Dhalsim, at a loss for how to break out of the combos the other player was laying on me?

DRAGON BALL FighterZ is born from what makes the DRAGON BALL series so loved and famous: endless spectacular fights with its all-powerful fighters.

BANDAI NAMCO informed to mark your calendars, set your phone alarms, and tell a friend to remind you that DRAGON BALL FighterZ will be launching in the Americas on January 26, 2018. All the action, drama, and over-the-top battles contained within DRAGON BALL FighterZ will be unleashed upon the gaming masses.

Overgrowth, while fun for a while, misses the mark for a captivating story or combat. The world feels uninviting and dead, giving off the feel of a game from the early 2000’s when the processing power of hardware was much more limiting. The combat is fast-paced and fun, but it lacks depth and eventually goes stale. The story that ties it all together feels loose and lacks impact, each character blends into another and consequently prevents the player from connecting at a deeper level. The title does shine for the first hour or two, but it quickly loses its flair.

The updated graphics and physics engine are sure to bring enjoyment and laughs. Road Redemption builds on a relatively simple concept that has worked in the past, repackages it, and allows the unpredictability of other players a large selection of tracks, bikes, and riders in online death races to round out a uniquely enjoyable experience.

Every Thursday, TaleWorlds publish a new post tackling things such as why there is no release date for Bannerlod yet, how modding will be or introducing different members of the team and their work. TaleWorlds, developers of the Mount & Blade series, published today a new entry in its Steam dev blog explaining Influence, a new feature of the single-player campaign of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord.

The moments I did have a good time were few and far inbetween, often overlooked and bogged down by repetitious fights and long periods of grinding out moves and experience. The glitches I experienced were numerous, but thankfully Sloclap is aware of most of these problems and is releasing patches to help eliminate them, while also adding new features. If you’re looking for crazy flashy combos and special moves, this isn’t the title for you. While Absolver is a fighting game, it’s a far cry from the likes of Street Fighter, Tekken, or Injustice. With many moves grounded in reality, or at least inspired by them, Absolver’s combat system still requires strategy, but even moreso patience — a quality for which many do not play fighting games.

Regardless of the complaints, Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite proves to earn its place in the powerful series laid out before it. Furthermore, the genre of 2D fighters is a very familiar concept, with a rich history and a dense family of games taking after it. Often, these games can seem too generic to stand out or to feel worthy of any time given, but conversely, many of these games try too hard to make something of themselves, and result in a game far too complex and clunky to be enjoyed in any way. Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, however, treads this line perfectly and offers an engaging experience born out of a classic style.

If you’ve been looking for a way to compete in the TEKKEN World Tour but can’t travel to TEKKEN World Tour offline events, now you can join in. BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Twitch, and Level | Up have put together a series of online tournaments covering all three of the TEKKEN World Tour’s Regions.

A pre-alpha build of Fantasy Strike, the “accessible fighting game for everyone from beginners to fighting game pros,” will be available for free this coming weekend.

If only Diablo III was this fun and exciting to play between all the fluff and management overhead, I wouldn’t have abandoned it; Redeemer has excatly what I want when I crave quick, well-produced top-down action content. The secret sauce and energy are in full effect, and the face bashing is exceptionally fun both with hands, along with the more advanced killing methods. Зашибись!

Building upon its launch in the Americas, TEKKEN 7 is bringing another famous guest character to join the next battle with Geese Howard from the Fatal Fury franchise.

The smoothness of play and the multitude of fighters from which to choose provide a near excellent time. But, unless a friend’s available for a local versus match, or you’re willing to play online, the initial excitement diminishes after the fourth- or fifth-dozenth round — though this not atypical for the genre. Regardless, fighter-gamers amongst us will walk away satisfied from The King of Fighters XIV.

TEKKEN 7 is well thought-out and produced — to the level of awe. TEKKEN 7 punches the stereotype of simplistic arcade fighters right in the face, and establishes itself as the gold standard that will be difficult to unseat for quite a while.

Victor Vran: Overkill Edition adds innovative and enjoyable DLC to an already engaging base game. Fractured Worlds brings an encore of action and dungeon-delving with an increased level cap, while Motörhead Through the Ages delivers novelty and a tribute to heavy metal. Smooth gameplay and strong momentum, framed by a thought-provoking narrative, render Victor Vran: Overkill Edition a solid addition to any collection.

Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada is superb and easily drags you into the gameplay, with the ability to train multiple characters and play as them, along with the replayability of the stages. Spirit of Sanada comes highly recommended to fans of the Dynasty Warriors series, or fans of hack-and-slashers, RPGs, or strategy titles, especially ones with a historical theme.

Targem Games and Gaijin Entertainment announce they will launch their post-apocalyptic free-to-play Action MMOG Crossout on May 30, 2017 for PC.

The TEKKEN franchise is one of the videogame industry’s longest running series encompassing over 20 years of history. This 20-year history also means numerous plot-points within the TEKKEN saga may have been forgotten or lost to the annals of time.

With a limited character pool, no story mode, and very few people that own the game due to its current release state, it is hard to stay online and interested for long periods of time. But, there is no doubt that as this game gains traction in the competitive community, and with piles of kids looking to beat the crap out of each other in a colorful way, Brawlout will find success.

Capcom today announced new information for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, a return of the action-fighting game series. Developed by two companies rather than one, MVCI will feature free-form 2v2 team battles integrated into a wide variety of single player modes and multiplayer content.

River City Ransom: Underground is fantastic in how it truly captures the feel of retro games, and it’s clear from the experience that Conatus Creative provides the desire and requisite talent. On top of the original beat-em-up feel, additional features round out the title quite nicely, such as RPG leveling aspects and a fighting engine that packs a punch.

When judging an Early Access game, you have to judge it on its potential as much as on what’s already there, and SPAERA is already off to a great start, with all signs pointing toward an even better game in the future. Depending on your tolerance for Early Access, it may or may not be worth getting now, but you must check this one out when it releases.

A concise, enjoyable, and thoroughly exciting, a 2D-fighting game with a single player mode varied enough for a person to get the full experience, and if you’re able to play alongside friends, you'll definitely be in for competitive fun.
